By using ExpenseBiz you agree to the following. These terms aren't long because the site is simple: we publish editorial picks, you read them, you decide what to do with them.
What ExpenseBiz is — and isn't
ExpenseBiz is an editorial publication that recommends finance tools for small businesses. It is not financial advice, accounting advice, legal advice, or tax advice. The picks are opinions based on our research methodology (see methodology), not professional guidance specific to your business. If you need professional advice, hire a qualified accountant, lawyer, or financial adviser regulated in your jurisdiction.
Affiliate disclosure
Many of the outbound links on ExpenseBiz are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up with the destination vendor, we may receive a commission. You pay nothing extra — the commission comes out of the vendor's own customer-acquisition budget. This is the financial model that funds the site.
Affiliate links never determine the ranking of products in our picks. Our editorial independence rules are documented in methodology.
No warranty on third-party products
We recommend products operated by third parties. We don't control those products, their pricing, their features, their availability, or their treatment of your data once you sign up. A product we recommend today may change pricing, change features, or stop existing tomorrow — and although we update our shortlists monthly, there will always be a gap between the product changing and us catching it.
You sign up with any third-party vendor at your own assessment of fit. Before signing up to anything material, read the vendor's own terms and pricing directly.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ExpenseBiz and its operators are not liable for losses you may incur from using a tool we recommended, from a vendor changing terms after you signed up, or from a recommendation being out of date when you acted on it. If you can show that a recommendation was wilfully misleading at the time it was published, contact us at hello@expensebiz.io and we will look into it directly.
Intellectual property
The editorial content on ExpenseBiz — articles, picks, comparison pages, descriptions — is original and owned by ExpenseBiz. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link back. You may not republish full articles, scrape the site for commercial use, or use ExpenseBiz content to train AI models without explicit written permission.
Acceptable use
Don't scrape the site at rates that interfere with normal traffic. Don't impersonate ExpenseBiz in correspondence or marketing. Don't probe or stress-test our infrastructure. The Mia chatbot is for legitimate buyer questions; abusing it (prompt-injection, spam, illegal content) gets your IP rate-limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and, where applicable, the country in which ExpenseBiz is registered. Disputes are resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction. Nothing here removes statutory consumer rights you have under the law of your own country of residence.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially, we update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms. For changes that affect existing affiliate disclosures or privacy, we also post a banner notice on the homepage for at least 14 days.
